Cell phone & biking

The technology has changed so rapidly in the past decade, the cellular phone has also become more popular and accessible to everyone. And i think people have become more stupid by having more technology. It seems like people are getting into more accidents while talking on the cell phone. It's bad enough when people are chatting, and texting while driving. It is even worse when people are doing those things when they are on the bike. I guess those people are multi-talented? or they are just simply retarded.

so is there such thing as drunk "biking"?? who knows. people just be careful when you are doing it. Text can wait.

Peanut m&m's

Stupid vending maching wouldn't let me push 4, so I tried 3 just wondering if it is skipping 4. Then a bag of Peanut m&m's dropped down. How lame? that's not what I wanted. While holding the unwanted Peanut m&m's in my hand, a childhood memory of candy selling immersed my mind. " I hated it" was the word that I was thinking. "And it was hot". Why do american elementary school children have to sell candies to raise money?

My first school year in US was the second semester of 6th grade, it was time to raise money to go to the 6th grade camp. I have never sold candy or done any fund raising activities prior coming to the US. It was new to me, and.... I didn't speak English. Some parents just bought the whole case of the chocolate, so their kids don't have to go door-to-door in a hispanic neighborhood and maybe get killed while raising money for the stupid camp.

My family thought it was a great idea for me to emerge into the american culture faster, so they send me off and taught me how to say " would you like to buy some candy to support our school?" which is really lame. Looking back, I Looked like.... wait,,, I actually have a photo of it.

anyway, I will not let my children do door-to-door selling. I'd invite my neighbors, people that I know over to my house and let my kids sell candy to them that way. or i'll just buy the whole box... or just pay for the darn camp myself. No selling necessary.

Who knew, a little bad of Peanut m&m's can arouse so much emotions.

Obsessed in Hello Kitty

Question of the day from a cute blond girl that I work with.

" Jenn, why are grown asian women are obsessed with Hello Kitty stuff?"

I really don't know, but I have come into a conclusion that Asian kids are deprived in their childhood. They go to school from 7am to 4pm, and then go to the tutoring center till 10pm. Wake up the next morning and do it all over again. No time to play, so they play and act like 13 year olds when they are 30?

I think i've been living in US too long, and I can not stand when girls use the fake little girls voice to talk all the time in public. Once again, it sounds retarded.

Catching up on American History

Since I was born in Taiwan, a good chunk of my life was spend in Taiwan, under traditional chinese parents. Although most of my significant years are spend in the states, I still feel the need to catch up on the pop culture. Sometimes when people are talking, making jokes, or referencing to certain TV shows or songs... I often feel left out. cuz i have no idea what they are talking about. It's not that I am dumb or anything, I just didn't grow up watching the Gilligan Island, or the Brady Bunch. If you asked me about the stuff in Taiwan during my childhood, i'd probably know most of it.



When Steve found out that I have not watched Star Wars, he got all the DVDs for me and watched them with me. He is such a trooper! He would explain things to me, so i'd understand what's going on. I think my favorite character is Yoda, he is just so serene and in tune with the "Force". On top of that, he fights like no others. The little green thing can jump high. One of my favorite scene is when Yoda just climbed Chubaka, he is just the cutest 500 year old thing i've ever seen. In episode 4, when Luke Skywalker found him on this muddy planet, Yoda just acted like a crazy funny grandpa.

One day I was in the elevator at work, and I saw this flyer with the first line ended with "force". The first thing that came to my mind was the Jedis. The flyer says, " Our mission is to be the Force...." My co worker was in the elevator with me later on of the day, and I made the sound of a light saber, and stance that they do in the movie. She just busted out laughing. Yes, i am catching up on my american history. Star Wars is a must see.

Brittish Actors

I am not sure if it's because of their accent? or their bright blue eyes (Harry Potter) I have just noticed that all my favorite actors are from UK.









House M.D. main actor is Hugh Laurie, and he speaks American English flawlessly.






















When i saw Angels and Demons.... Ewan McGregor is just the hottest priest i've ever seen... Then i downlaoded Moulin Rouge sound track so I could listen to him sing. " Come what may.."





Liam Neeson, such a good actor. Loved his voice as Aslan! and totally think he's awesome in Star wars.

Cinco de Mayo!!

This is my very first pinata! EVER!! I was very happy to have it, and it was $12.










We put lots candy in there to celebrate the Cinco de Mayo. We even had Mexican food for dinner. When I said, " Happy Cinco de Mayo" to the worker who's dishing up my mexican food, he looked at me like i was an idiot for saying that. Later i found out only the So. Cal Mexicans really celebrated Cinco de Mayo. I guess the Mexican in Utah doesn't really care. I remember there were lots event going on during this celebration back at home, i was surprised it wasn't celebrated here. makes me kinda sad.

Asians & their eye feddish

Growing up, my mom always had a pack of eye lip tapes in her make up station. My mom always gave me the impression that my eyes are ugly, cuz they are single layered. She had natural double layered eyelids that most asians looooooove to have. When she's not around, I always take some out, and tape it on my eye lids. So, I would have double eye lids like my moms. Enough said, I looked like I had two little band-aid on my eyelids.


Most American don't notice this, but asians only have one layer of eyelids. Most asians want double eyelids... it's concieved as pretty. I guess the bigger your eyes are, the prettier you are? I do i have to say.. i like my almond shape eyes alot.



Do you see the difference between before and after? The single eyelid and the "after" double eyelids? It's insane what asian women do to have the face, eye shape and hair color of a caucasian woman.




There are even tapes for your face to make your face look slimmer, longer like a caucasian. Asians tend to have more round and squared face like mine. So what? it's fabulous!
