So, I thought did well. At least I thought I was way better than the old lady who couldn't even hit the right note. I know that i struggled with the E natural then F then E flat, that was the most challenging part... but I know I didn't suck that bad.
There were 8 openins 2 of each for Soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. So I really only have also or soprano. The lady who was holding the audition knew the two altos... so i decide to try out for soprano. I thought i have a pretty good chance. Then this old lady walk in half an hour late. She did her quartez, didn't hit her note, didn't start on time. It was just ...anyway. I did better. and i know she got the part cuz she knew the director.
I am a little bummed, and i miss singing. I shall try again.
Steve and I will do a Pi Pi Christmas Production, I got the lead. HAHA I know, we are dorks huh.

Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem is a latin phrase from Horse's poem, and it is usually translated as " Sieze the day". There are also other translations fromthe bible, " If not now, when?"
I strongly believe when one is presented with unexpected opportunity, one should take it and make the best out of it. For example, the verse from Ecclesiaste 9:9 " Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun."
I would like to be the sponge, a very large one, soak up and learn everything I can. Today, I pledge to myself, I will take every opportunity I can, and not waste any time. I will do it, even if the people around me won't.
- I will go to the gym, and enjoy yoga, running, swimming, zumba... etc
- I will be fit!!
- I will walk outside and take pictures, print the ones i like and hang them up in my house. Maybe make some post cards while I am at it.
- I will learn all the Utah mom's baking recipe
- I will go salsa dance when Tyffani invites me
- I will laugh so hard till i cry
- I will learn all the language i can
- I will read till my eyes fall out
- I will travel the world, eat yummy food.
- I will go to all the concerts, symphany, musicals, plays, dance productions and etc
- I will take off my clothes and jump in the ocean like I did at Barcelona.
- I will take every opportunity and do things I have never done before, even if i suck at it, or no one else wants too do them with me. I will do them myself, and too bad for them..
- I will not waste another minute of my life not trying something because no on else wants to try them with me.
- I will, I will, I WILL, and I CAN~!!
I've done it before, why did I ever stop doing these things that I like? I will pick it up again, and enjoy life.

I miss Cindy Ford
I have a friend named Cindy Ford, who always takes on any dares. If you dare her to do something, she will never fail you. Cindy is caring, loving, funny, and has a tender soul, and she is currently teaching English in Annyong, Korea. She has a an interesting blog... click on the pic below... check her blog out.

Cindy and I met for the first time in a French study abroad orientation. I guess she was good friends with the director, Dr. Lee... and she just says random stuff and stare at him with her huge blue eyes. I seriously thought this woman can kill me with her thumb if she really wants to. I thought she was way ganstah.... Then we were in Paris together, and she seemed pretty normal.
I just love cindy, she's so nice and easy going. She likes sushi, and she's not afraid to try asian food. I think she probably eats more weird asian food than i would ever eat, since she's in Korea now. Wonder if she'd eat live squid.
Cindy,
I just want to tell you how much I appreciate you to be my friend and accept my weirdness. Thank you for going to London with me, we had some good time with the giant pair of testicle at Kingscross Station. Thank you for eating chinese food with me, and thank you for listening and understanding when i vent. Thank you for flying out to LA and be my bridesmaid, it means the world to me to have a friend like you.
XOXO,
your fav Jenn

Ferb Attack!
For those of you knew my little pets, Phineas and Ferb ( they are dwarf hamsters). They were separated couple months ago, cuz they got in a fight, and Phineas decide to bite Ferbs butt off. Anyway, since then they have live peacefully in their separate cages, with their own amenities. Running wheels, food, water, igloo house, and a sand bath tub. Having 2 cages for 2 different hamsters seems a little space wasting. So i decide to put Phineas a Ferb together again, hoping they'll forget the loath they have towards each other.
I put Phineas in Ferbs cage, and P just sniffed around. Ferb came out from the pile of the purple pee absorbing stuff, saw phineas.... and then Ferb charged at Phineas, got on top of him, and probably bit him too. I quickly separate them again.... i guess they still hate each other. 2 cage is good for now... never put 2 hamster together again. I don't want a hamster fight pit in my own home.

Cell phone & biking
The technology has changed so rapidly in the past decade, the cellular phone has also become more popular and accessible to everyone. And i think people have become more stupid by having more technology. It seems like people are getting into more accidents while talking on the cell phone. It's bad enough when people are chatting, and texting while driving. It is even worse when people are doing those things when they are on the bike. I guess those people are multi-talented? or they are just simply retarded.
take an example from the photo below.
Doesn't this just seem dangerous?
some people are even texting when they are on the bike, or walking.
"Research has consistently shown cell phone use to be a dangerous endeavor for drivers. A 2003 study by the University of Utah found talking on the phone while driving causes the same impairments as driving drunk." (Text messaging adds to growing accident statistics of 'inattentive' drivers By Melissa Heckscher Monday, November 27 2006, 12:56 AM EST )
so is there such thing as drunk "biking"?? who knows. people just be careful when you are doing it. Text can wait.

Peanut m&m's
Stupid vending maching wouldn't let me push 4, so I tried 3 just wondering if it is skipping 4. Then a bag of Peanut m&m's dropped down. How lame? that's not what I wanted. While holding the unwanted Peanut m&m's in my hand, a childhood memory of candy selling immersed my mind. " I hated it" was the word that I was thinking. "And it was hot". Why do american elementary school children have to sell candies to raise money?
My first school year in US was the second semester of 6th grade, it was time to raise money to go to the 6th grade camp. I have never sold candy or done any fund raising activities prior coming to the US. It was new to me, and.... I didn't speak English. Some parents just bought the whole case of the chocolate, so their kids don't have to go door-to-door in a hispanic neighborhood and maybe get killed while raising money for the stupid camp.
My family thought it was a great idea for me to emerge into the american culture faster, so they send me off and taught me how to say " would you like to buy some candy to support our school?" which is really lame. Looking back, I Looked like.... wait,,, I actually have a photo of it.
anyway, I will not let my children do door-to-door selling. I'd invite my neighbors, people that I know over to my house and let my kids sell candy to them that way. or i'll just buy the whole box... or just pay for the darn camp myself. No selling necessary.
Who knew, a little bad of Peanut m&m's can arouse so much emotions.
